Bloomberg/BNA The Family Law Reporter: What is it?

This is the first post in a four-part series spotlighting Bloomberg/BNA’s The Family law Reporter.

The Family Law Reporter by Bloomberg/BNA is a database that provides notifications and analysis of current Family Law cases, legislative activity, and trends within the field.

The BNA highlights, issued biweekly, provide current family law developments. The Family Law Reporter’s default will display some headlines with their summaries as “Highlights,” and will provide the remaining headlines in a section below labeled “In This Issue.”

This setting may be changed by selecting the links above the “Highlights” section to provide all headlines either with or without summaries. For example, if we select “All Headlines” then that issue’s headlines will be displayed without summaries—organized topically.

The main page will sometimes present a “Breaking News” section with summaries of recent decisions. This section will provide updates more frequently than the headlines from the most recent issue.

Access to Bloomberg/BNA’s The Family law Reporter database is available through the Texas Tech Law Library website under the Electronic Databases tab.
